I'm having difficulty registering - why isn't the registration site working?

This is probably a browser issue. Sports Engine doesn't seem to work well with Safari. Try registering with a different browser such as Chrome, or from a different PC (computer) or even your cell phone.

I'm having difficulty registering - why isn't US Lacrosse member verification working?

This is likely one of two issues:

1) Your US Lacrosse membership is not valid and must be renewed. Note that it must be valid through the end of the season on 11/1.  Click here for USL FAQ

OR

2) Your entry for US Lacrosse membership verification in registration do not match exactly what you have for your US Lacrosse membership. Note that name, DOB, and zip code must match. Refer to the USL FAQ to look up your membership information.

I noticed a difference in the fee structure from last fall - what gives?

We have have made some changes to the way we structure the fee for the fall season.

The "Base Fee" is lower. And "Travel" is higher. The net difference is a slight increase. This new pricing structure is one that we think is more logical, simple, and puts us further on the path towards being a financially sustainable club for the long term.

The season is also different from last fall (more robust like our spring season - the thought here was to have a bigger season because we didn't play in the spring) - same # of practices per week as spring, and more weeks. They're also more travel weekends.

Travel cost is higher, as the math is based on the actual cost.  This is a similar structure to some other clubs, where the cost per weekend is a pass through of estimated cost of league/tourney registration fees and coaching costs (coach pay and travel).

For Travel fee there is a payment plan option - you can opt to just pay $100 deposit now and will be charged remainder on 9/10. We did this because we realize there is a possibility that one or more travel weekends might change or be cancelled. This requires you to commit to travel now, but if any weekends are changed it gives us the ability to adjust the balance or issue prorated refunds.

Historically Fall and Spring season fees cover approximately 40-50% of the cost to operate JHLC and provide these core programs. JHLC works to keep registration fees low in order to make lacrosse accessible to as many kids in the community as possible, while also working to be financially sustainable for the long term. This is made possible through the generous charitable support of many individuals, foundations, and organizations. If the fees are in anyway burdensome, scholarship is available through One22 and JHLC (see below).

What is the deal with scholarships?

Scholarships are available through JHLC and One22. Scholarships are offered based on need of varying amounts.

High School players should email info@jacksonholelacrosse.com to request scholarship.

Youth players should apply for scholarship through One22 using these instructions:

How it works:

  • One22 is a separate organization born from the Jackson Hole Community Foundation, and works to provide financial assistants to youth in Jackson Hole for recreational opportunities.
  • One22 manages the entire application process, so your application will go directly to them and not to JHLC. Your information is private.
  • One22 determines the scholarship - the amount of the registration fee the family pays, and matches JHLC's scholarship contribution to cover the remainder of the registration fee.

How to apply for scholarship:

  • Players applying for a scholarship submit a scholarship application to One22. Find the form and apply here: https://www.one22jh.org/application-forms.
  • After One22 has processed your application they will alert you and JHLC that your application has been processed and the amount of scholarship you are to receive.
  • At this time JHLC will email you a custom discount code so that you can come back and complete registration. You will input that custom discount code at checkout and it will adjust your fee.
  • The discount is based on the full payment amount and are not eligible for the Early Bird Discount.

What is the deal with this Travel and Non-Travel Option?

We are offering a Non-Travel option again this fall for all age groups (8U does not have the option to travel).

Can I just pick and choose which Travel weekends I want to attend and pay a prorated amount?

No. 100% commitment to the team is expected. If you choose to be on the Travel team for the season but cannot attend a weekend for any legitimate reason then please communicate with your team coach and manager so they can plan accordingly.

What about Refunds/ Cancellation Policy if the season is canceled again due to COVID-19?

As it pertains to COVID-19, we do not recommend purchasing the insurance that Sports Engine sells during registration. This insurance does not cover pandemics. Please read the cancellation policy in registration. If we have to cancel the season or any portion of it due to COVID-19 then we will offer refunds that will be prorated and will be subject to an admin fee.
