What is "Summer Chumash"?: it is "pickup" style lacrosse. Mix of ages and boys and girls playing together. No equipment necessary, just your stick! Bring the sports back to their roots - "sandlot style". Creativity is encouraged. The name "Chumash" comes from a pickup game of lacrosse that's played in the Northeast, however we usually play the game called 3x (half court 3v3 on a small goal with soft balls, and a rotating defender hops in cage, making it a continuous half court 3v2). The main rules are:
You have to be nice to the younger fella and new comers
You have to try hard (you can't go easy on older or younger players, you have to play hard to make yourself and them better!)
Cost: It's FREE-play! But there is a suggested $10 venmo to @jacksonholelacrosse to help cover costs of fields, equipment, and staffer. No registration necessary.
